If you’ve recently logged into COMQUEST and noticed some changes, it’s because COMQUEST is now powered by TrueLearn, which means the platform may look and feel a little different. The most important thing is to know is this: your COMQUEST question bank hasn’t changed. The same questions and explanations you rely on are still there – written by DOs for DOs. Now supported by a more advanced platform designed to give you better insights into your performance.
Why You’re Seeing Changes in COMQUEST
If things look different, you’re not alone. These updates are part of COMQUEST moving to a TrueLearn-powered platform. This is not a content change, it’s a platform upgrade.
Many osteopathic learners already use both COMQUEST and TrueLearn as part of their study plan. Bringing COMQUEST onto the same platform creates a more streamlined experience, allowing you to access powerful tools, improved analytics, and enhanced features, all in one place.
The goal here is simple: combine COMQUEST’s trusted content with a more advanced learning platform.
Is COMQUEST Still the Same Question Bank?
Yes – COMQUEST remains the same at its core.
- COMQUEST questions are still independently written
- The content is still distinctly Osteopathic.
- There has been no merging of practice questions
COMQUEST and TrueLearn are completely separate. If you purchase a COMLEX question bank through TrueLearn, that is a different bank with its own set of questions. COMQUEST continues to offer its own distinct question bank, written by a separate team and designed specifically for COMLEX preparation.
You are still getting COMQUEST’s unique question style and approach – just delivered through a more robust and advanced platform.
What’s Changed (and What Hasn’t)
Here’s a simple breakdown of what stayed the same and what’s evolving:

Why Some Features are Changing
As part of the transition to a new platform, some features are evolving while others are being rebuilt to work more effectively within the updated system. This allows for a stronger foundation moving forward – so new and existing tools can deliver more accurate, meaningful insights as the platform continues to grow.
Score Predictor
This particular feature requires a large amount of data to ensure accuracy. Our team has planned to develop and improve a score predictor as more data is collected within the new platform.
Time Tracking (formerly known as TimeTRAX)
You can still track how long you spend on questions. However, peer time comparisons are no longer shown, as the focus shifts toward more meaningful indicators of exam readiness than isolated metrics.
What This Means for Your Study Strategy
Your approach to studying with COMQUEST doesn’t need to change. You can continue using it the same way – while now taking advantage of:
- deeper performance insights
- nationwide benchmarking
- improved progress tracking
Common Questions About the COMQUEST Update
Did COMQUEST get replaced by TrueLearn?
No. COMQUEST content remains independent and unchanged.
Are the questions different now?
No. Your Qbank uses the same questions it did on the COMQUEST platform, but now through the TrueLearn platform.
Why does the platform look different?
The interface has been upgraded through TrueLearn to provide a more modern and feature-rich experience.
Why was the COMQUEST score predictor removed?
We know the score predictor has been a valuable and well-loved feature for many COMQUEST users. To ensure it remains accurate and truly helpful, it requires a significant amount of data within the new platform. As more data is collected, it is planned for future development.
What happened to TimeTRAX?
You can still track how long you spend on questions. The main change is that you’ll no longer see comparisons against other users. We’re shifting toward more meaningful ways to understand your performance, so the focus is less on how fast you are and more on how well you’re learning and improving.
Am I losing features?
No core functionality has been removed. Some features are evolving and expanding as part of the new platform.
Our team has been, and continues to be, focused on delivering the best possible experience for COMQUEST users. While some things may look and feel different, you’ll still get the same study benefits – now supported by more intuitive and robust tools.
Why Using COMQUEST and TrueLearn Together Matters
Many osteopathic students already use both COMQUEST and TrueLearn, and there’s a reason for that.
Each resource offers:
- Distinct question styles
- Different authors and perspectives
- Unique ways of testing concepts that mirror COMLEX-USA exams
Using both helps you build a more complete understanding and better prepares you for the variability of the real exam.
With COMQUEST now on the TrueLearn platform, you get the benefit of both resources within a more unified, powerful system – while still maintaining the distinct value each provides.
